Mátyás Pince Restaurant was founded at the foot of Elisabeth Bridge on the Pest side in 1904 and was named after the great Hungarian Renaissance ruler Mátyás. It is just a few steps from the nearest metro line, and adjacent to the city centre’s main parking area for tour-buses.
